Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: 1-2 years related experience in facilities maintenance including 1 in management and at least 2 years of CPO Certification
- Minimum Age: At Least 21 Years of Age
- Analytical skills necessary to organize workload to establish priorities.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to effectively communicate with management, union employees and seasonal employees.
- Mental and emotional capability to make sound decisions quickly during potentially life-threatening situations in the event of a park emergency.
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
- Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Assists in the maintenance of Oceans of Fun water park and all other park buildings, facilities, and rides with respect to aquatics, landscaping, carpentry, paint, fiber glassing, HVAC and plumbing. Assists in scheduling; developing project specifications; negotiating with, selecting, and scheduling contractors as needed. Assists with bids and orders materials as required for such projects.
- In conjunction with department and park leadership, assists in determining priorities and schedules, developing bid package specifications, negotiating with, selecting, and scheduling contractors, engineers and architects. Assists with researching, bids and ordering of materials and/or services required for such projects.
- Selects and oversees the scheduling, training and supervision of all assigned areas to make sure these employees are knowledgeable of and proficient in proper procedures. Takes disciplinary action when needed. Addresses and attempts to resolve employee concerns including union concerns and grievances.
- Maintains records required of the park by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources. Reviews storm water discharge reports for permit.
- Ensures all operations are in compliance with Kansas City Department of Health Regulations.
- Assists in the preparation of annual department capital, operating expense, and labor budgets. Monitors weekly and takes appropriate action if necessary.
- Adheres to and enforces all Collective Bargaining Agreement policies and procedures.
- Adheres to and enforces all company and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.
- Acts as Maintenance Department Manager on Duty ensuring the safe operations of all rides, attractions and facilities across the facility.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provides guest service according to Enchanted Parks standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
- Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Enchanted Parks Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
- Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
- Meets Enchanted Parks attendance requirements as outlined in Enchanted Parks attendance policies.
- Adheres to Enchanted Parks Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Employee
- Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of ASTM and ADA accessibility requirements for buildings and facilities.
- Must be a Certified Pool Operator with at least 2 years' experience in large scale bodies of water.
- Able to multi task and manage multiple projects sometimes on a compressed timeline.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of managing a Union team including being willing to learn and adhere to our collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of electrical and mechanical maintenance and OSHA guidelines.
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to understand English at a level sufficient to receive and perform basic job assignments and instructions.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
- Walking and standing on concrete and asphalt for extended periods of time.
- Exposure to gasoline, oils, steam, propane, fiberglass dust, welding materials, oxygen, freon, acetylene, cleaning, solvents, and paint fumes.
- Average sense of touch needed to determine hot from cold and soft from hard. Must be able to sense resistance when using hand tools.
- Average sense of smell required to detect fumes, odors and chemicals.
- Average hearing needed to listen for gas/air leaks.
- Must be able to climb to and work at a height of 50 feet for the installation, inspection, and maintenance of HVAC equipment
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment with appropriate training (PPE)
