Retail General Manager — Retail Caricature & Entertainment

We operate multiple retail caricature and entertainment art locations across the USA.

The Role
We're seeking an experienced Retail General Manager to lead operations across all of our locations (less than a dozen). You'll supervise each location manager and support their teams of working artists, ensuring every site delivers strong sales, smooth operations, and an outstanding guest experience.

• Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations across all retail locations
• Supervise, coach, and develop managers and their teams of artists
• Monitor sales goals, budgets, and per caps for each location
• Recruit, hire and onboard new managers and artists as needed
• Standardize operating procedures, pricing, and guest-service practices across sites
• Manage inventory, supplies, and vendor relationships
• Interface with our Supervising Instructor
• Ensure compliance with venue partner requirements, safety standards, and company policies
• Resolve escalated guest and staff issues
• Report regularly to ownership on performance, staffing, and growth opportunities

Requirements

• 3+ years of retail management experience, including multi-unit oversight
• Proven experience supervising managers and their teams — ideally teams of artists or other creative staff
• Strong track record hitting sales and operational targets across multiple locations
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to travel between locations on occasion; flexible schedule including weekends/holidays as needed
• Proficiency with POS systems, Google Spreadsheets and email

Strongly Preferred:

• Caricature drawing experience — a huge plus. Candidates who have worked as caricature artists or face painters, or managed caricature/sketch artists, will understand our business from the inside and move to the top of the list.
• Background in amusement park, tourist attraction, or event-based retail
• Experience managing commissioned or performance-based creative staff
